Rumen acidosis negatively affects inflammatory and oxidative stress parameters in dairy goats. In this research study, acidosis was associated with a notable decrease in antioxidant defenses and an increased expression of several inflammatory cytokines. Researchers further demonstrated a negative impact on cardiac biomarkers (creatine kinase isoenzyme MB and lactate dehydrogenase), potential sign of myocardial injury during acidotic events.
