A microbiota is the whole of the ecosystem (bacteria, yeast, fungi and viruses) living in a specific environment. Intestinal microbiota was previously called “intestinal flora.” includes thousands of enzymes responsible for this work. This work offers a comprehensive analysis of more than 6.5 terabytes of Illumina and Nanopore sequence data, including assembly of 4,941 metagenome-assembled genomes, whole-chromosome assemblies of novel rumen bacteria. It is also the largest dataset of predicted proteins from the rumen and provides rich annotation against public datasets. Together, these data will form an essential part of future studies of the rumen microbiomeGlossaryView allMicrobiota
