An 8-year study of one dairy herd

 

Body Condition Score (BCS) below 2 can indicate that a cow is at a higher risk of future lameness issues. While the relationship between low body condition score and lameness has been described, this long term study helps identify for the fine threshold of individual BCS as a predictor for mild and severe lameness.
