Impact of sorting feed on the milk composition of dairy cows
By E.K. Miller-Cushon, T.J. DeVries

Feeding management factors have great potential to influence activity patterns and feeding behavior of dairy cows, which may have further implications on milk yield and composition.
This study demonstrates that milk fat content decreased by 0.1 percentage point for every 10% increase in sorting behavior.
