Assessment of ruminal fluid pH evolution across the weaning period in Holstein calves under field conditions

Ruminal pH is a significant indicator of proper rumen function. Previous studies have demonstrated there are different patterns of ruminal fluid pH around the weaning period of calves.

A study from Aristotle University in Greece showed the ruminal pH of weaned calves is related to herd-level management of the pre-weaning period and weaning protocols.
